The project explores an extraordinary biological phenomenon in which mushrooms break down plastic and convert it into organic material. Wonder brings this remarkable phenomenon into the home environment, inviting direct participation and interaction, with the goal of raising awareness and promoting the broader use of mushrooms as an environmental solution.
The object allows users to feed it plastic waste, follow the decomposition process, observe the spectacular growth of the mushrooms, and ultimately harvest and eat the mushrooms they have grown.
Awarded 3rd place in the HIT Environmental Competition for sustainable innovation.
